Key to the Kingdom

Today was a quick stop at the shop. Dave, Tom, Erik, Hedy and John all dove into projects making the most of a rainy Saturday afternoon.
Erik continued to true up all the wheels. We found that a few spokes were maxed out and we have to cut the crimps off and recrimp so that they can be of use.
Dave worked on the shoulder bearing mounts for the steering arm

Tom and Hedy started cutting the captains wheel out of 2 3/4'' sections of plywood glued together
Tom making a finishing pass. Clearly enough room for bowling pins to mount on

John was a weld monkey finishing up all the sprockets and hub adapters.

The next week will be very busy, steering column will be cut and welded, wheels recrimped, trued then mounted, steering cables ran, bike fronts welded & captains wheel set in place. Before you know it we will be Sand rollin' down front street.
